eWave supports full-chip simulation and imposes no restriction on the number of ports.
The tool can automatically processes via holes, equating a group of small via holes to a large via hole, to ensure that the simulation will not fail and the layout not be affected due to too many via holes.
The tool supports four subdivision modes: Ind Normal, Ind Port, Cap Mode and Autoport.
•Ind Normal is used to subdivide the inductor with small wire width (less than 8 microns);
•Ind Port is used to subdivide the inductor with large wire width (greater than 8 microns)
•Cap Mode is used to subdivide capacitors;
•Autoport considers all modes and provides rather dense subdivision.
There is an acceleration option in eWave to process the huge amount of Metal Fills in GDS.
